Colorado Chain Laws

Colorado requires trucks to carry chains or equivalent traction devices on Interstate 70 between Morrison and Dotsero starting September 1. Failure to carry chains on this portion of highway may result in an inspection violation and the driver can be fined $50 plus a surcharge.
